Homemade Shampoos and Conditioners

Why Make Our Own Shampoos and Conditioners?

Using essential oils in a shampoo and a conditioner will restore hormonal and PH balance and keep your hair clean and shining. Essential oils have no chemicals, they have excellent cleansing properties, are anti-bacterial, help remove toxins and stimulate hair growth. Most of the hair care products we use are full of chemicals which damage the skin, cause itchy scalp and dermatitis.

The best way to avoid this is to make your own recipe using the oils appropriate to your type of hair.

How To Do It

I have included here a recipe for each type of hair.

You will need to make up the Base for each and then add the essential oils which are best for each hair type.

Remember to use the conditioner before the shampoo or your hair will be too greasy.

You need only a small amount of conditioner - just dip your fingers in the jar and rub this between your palms then massage gently through the hair and down to the scalp.

Shampoo Base

Ingredients:

  • 100gm pure soap flakes

The base may go lumpy but that’s ok, it will be added to the blender with the other ingredients.

Directions:
