Oily Skin Care: Reduce the Greasy Look!

What Is Oily Skin?

All skin types need oil to a certain degree to lubricate the cells of the skin but sometimes the glands are triggered to overproduce.  This often happens in puberty when the hormones are changing rapidly and unpredictably. This can result in a greasy look with shiny patches over the face.  It leads to clogged pores generating pimples and blackheads. If picked at these pimples will lead to scarring - not that attractive anywhere on the body but especially not on the face.

What To Do?

Some people react to this greasy look by over cleansing their skin with harsh products containing alcohol. This only aggravates the situation and the cycle goes on and on...

Using essential oils that balance the skin rather than strip it will help with the production of too much oil and reduce the inflammation caused by harsh chemical products leaving the skin soft and natural.
