Please Help, Nobody Knows What's Wrong With Me

I came down with Bronchitis on Thursday, February 17th. I went to the doctor on that Friday and started Doxycycline (antibiotic). I ended up not getting better & going BACK to the doctor the next week. He prescribed me with another antibiotic (Augment-in).

I started to feel better for the most part. However, as soon as I was starting to feel myself again, which was only for like 3 days, I got sick AGAIN.

On March 1st, I had to leave school/work early from having diarrhea & feeling really nauseous. That evening I started running a fever of 101.6. I thought I had the flu. I started taking Tamaflu that night b/c I had it. I also took tylenol to help with my aches and pains, as well as my headache.

I woke up the next morning feeling a lot better. I thought I was getting better again. No more fever. I went to bed that night (Wednesday) and woke up Thursday morning at 2:00am with horrible watery diarrhea. Sorry if that is TMI. The diarrhea lasted ALL morning long. Literally, I was getting up every 5 minutes. It was horrible.

My stomach wasn't in PAIN, per say, but it was hurting somewhat & was making lots of strange noises. I don't really know of anything that I have eaten that would have upset my stomach so much.

I went to the doctor on Wednesday and they tested me for the flu which came back negative. I did start my period on Wednesday. However, even though my periods are painful, they have never made me this sick.

I realize you are not a doctor. However, I do like your advice and have been to the doctor 3 times now. I stopped taking all the medicine I was taking.

As of today, I am not taking any medicine and all I have eaten is toast and I am drinking some Powerade. Any idea of what could be wrong with me? I am so ready to feel better & feel as though I get sick SO often.

It is so discouraging and I am desperate for this to change. :/

Any ideas would be helpful as nobody seems to really know what's wrong with me. I do have some drainage still from the Bronchitis and my chest still hurts as well, but not bad at all. Not sure if this could be related or anything? I am so clueless and discouraged with my health.

Hi Mandy,

After reading about all of your health problems from all of your different questions - bronchitis, allergies, low-grade fever coming and going, painful periods, frequently sick, a general feeling of being unwell - one thing does stand out to me.

It sounds like you are vitamin D deficient.

You also mentioned in another question that your diet is not very good. This means that you probably have an acidic body pH as well.

I don't know how your finances are, but here is what I would recommend.

Ask your doctor to check your vitamin D levels. Make sure you get the right test done (see vitamin D testing for info). If he won't do it, or doesn't do it, you can order one online for $65.00 plus shipping.

Don't rely on what he says regarding vitamin D dosage, what kind of vitamin D to take, or anything related to vitamin D. The vast majority of doctors are still clueless about all the research showing how much vitamin D we need for good health. Just nod politely when they lecture you. That's what I do.

As for your body pH, you can buy pH strips online. I think pH ion makes the best ones that are the easiest to read. They'll cost around $15.00 plus shipping.

These two simple tests will give you a good idea of what to do next to get your health back on track.

Please let me know what the results are and we can go from there.

As far as your diarrhea - my guess would be that it was caused by the antibiotics. If you still have the bottles, check out the side effects.

Best regards,

Melissa

Hi, you may want to research c-difficile, it is a bacteria which can start up after antibiotics. Also look into Berberine. It is an anti-fungal and natural antibiotic that can resolve any candida or bad bacteria you may have. I would also suggest getting on a probiotic and a pre-biotic to re-colinize your gut, colon, and intestines. Prescript Assist is a prebiotic I have used successfully.
